Germination test of Cordia trichotoma seeds: a forest species native to Brazil

Abstract: Cordia trichotoma (Vell.) Arrab. ex Steud. is a forest species native to Brazil, naturally propagated by seeds, whose quality assessment may be underestimated the use of inappropriate methods for conducting germination test. Given potential this plant and importance conserving species, present work aimed study parameters test in louro-pardo during three consecutive years evaluations. For purpose, temperatures (20, 25 30 °C) substrates (blotter paper, filter sand vermiculite) were tested seeds collected different crop seasons. The tests carried out under completely randomized experimental design, with four replications, factorial scheme (temperatures x substrates), data obtained being subjected analysis variance means compared Tukey’s (p ? 0.05).
